What are the responsibilities and job description for the Range Check-In Associate position at Texas Gun Experience?
We are looking for a Range Check-In Associate who wants to join a dynamic team and make a difference in the firearm community.
Our Range Check-In Associates are responsible for setting the tone for our members and guests when they visit our range. They are responsible for getting members and guests checked in and out of shooting lanes, operating our point-of-sale system, answering questions about and processing firearms rentals, putting together and ringing out machine gun packages, managing lane reservations, and navigating new shooters to the appropriate training resource.
A Range Check-In Associate answer questions and process sales of accessories, ammunition, and can often flex into our Retail department and onto our Customer Experience Team to assist when needed. Our ideal Range Check-In Associate flourishes in a fast-paced environment and can handle heavy volume while maintaining exceptional customer service and a positive attitude. Working closely with our Range staff, our Range Check-In Associates need to be well-versed in Range Etiquette and rules and should be able to diffuse stressful situations with ease.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.
- At minimum, a basic knowledge of firearms and firearms safety with experience in the firearm industry preferred.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proficient in verbal and written English language.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
- Proactive with the ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
- Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders.
- Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends shifts.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older per federal guidelines to legally process the sale of firearms.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or trade certificate preferred.
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS
Pay Rate: 16.00 per hour; Incentive Plan eligible
Must be able to work weekends.
