Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to be the welcoming face of our restaurant, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for every guest. As the first point of contact, you will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure smooth guest flow throughout the dining experience. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests efficiently
• Coordinate table assignments using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Maintain organized waiting lists and monitor guest wait times to optimize seating flow
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
• Support food service staff by ensuring tables are prepared and ready for incoming guests

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant environment
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems (e.g., Aloha POS, Micros POS)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and courteously
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and guest counts accurately
• Familiarity with food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Ability to remain energetic, friendly, and attentive during busy service hours
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
