Job Duties:Performs routine safety and health program work. Work involves assisting with the development of safety policies and procedures; participating in the safety training and education of staff; inspecting work areas and activities for hazards; and assisting in investigating accidents. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.You'd be a GOOD fit if:You have successfully completed an accredited high school education or earned a GED and bring valuable experience in auditing, program support, or technical review. You are comfortable with standard computer operations and familiar with agency structures, policies, and procedures or willing to learn them. You communicate clearly with internal and external partners and are prepared to complete required safety and risk management certifications. Your readiness to deepen your knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations further demonstrates your commitment to excelling in this roleYou'd be a GREAT fit if:You have one year of fulltime experience in criminal justice, risk management, or a related field. You bring a solid understanding of risk management program operations, practices, and procedures, along with comprehensive knowledge of the state and federal laws, regulations, and statutes that guide safety and compliance. You communicate clearly and concisely, collaborate effectively with staff, officials, agencies, and the public, and apply strong problem solving skills across a wide range of situations.
