Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using medical imaging tools.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and team members.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment during all procedures.
- Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Use dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and managing patient information seamlessly.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote long-term dental health.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to medical documentation, medical terminology, and patient privacy laws.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental fabrication, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations.
- Experience working with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform pediatric dentistry procedures and work effectively with pediatric patients (pediatrics).
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment planning and delivery.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry and comprehensive medical documentation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient outcomes.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry and infection control protocols in a clinical setting.
