Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store products and materials. This role ensures accuracy in inventory handling, supports production and shipping needs, and maintains a safe, organized work environment in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse, production area, or shipping/receiving docks.
- Stack and organize products and materials in designated storage areas.
- Inspect forklifts before and after use; report and document any malfunctions, needed repairs, or safety hazards.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required PPE, and adhere to OSHA standards.
- Assist with order picking, staging, and preparing shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and support inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to ensure timely workflow.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
Professional requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid forklift certification/license (required or ability to obtain).
- Minimum 1 year of forklift or material-handling experience preferably in a Corrugated Box facility
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements: Employees working in a plant environment must be able to perform the essential physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
