See details about what we do.This position is a member of our Information Resources Division.HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGOversee team activities involved in the planning of resources necessary to develop and support the agencyand#8217;s information technology (IT) priorities, strategies, and goals and assistance in asset management and tracking of IT equipment. Complete personnel and human resources management, administrative, and organizational functions, ensure the professional development of team staff and participate in the budgeting process as needed.
Lead the daily operations of the Regional Support team, prioritize and delegate tasks, plan and coordinate staff efforts to ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of IT services in accordance with agency service level agreements (SLAand#8217;s), Desktop Support standard operating policies and procedures (SOPPand#8217;s), and agency policies. Serve as the backup Customer Support Center (CSC) escalation contact. Implement customer SLAand#8217;s and assess customer satisfaction regarding services provided. Provide Project Leadership for successful delivery of IRD projects.
Develop, revise, and ensure staff follows team processes in compliance with existing agency and division policies, procedures, and priorities; identify, establish and enforce desktop and software standards and security requirements. Provide technical expertise to our current desktop hardware, software and mobile devices.
Work with management and other technical teams to ensure enterprise level service needs are anticipated and met; and provide information to agency IT staff and management. Represent the section manager on technical committees and review boards; report status and make recommendations regarding operations, service level, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience with IT customer service in a call center/help- desk environment.Experience in supporting/troubleshooting PC and printer hardware.Experience managing and/or coordinating customer service issues.REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEExperience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment. ORGraduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.***Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business Commerce Code Section 117.001(2).
