HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGCoordinate the development and implementation of the annual Air Section workplan to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and timely completion of regional workplan commitments. Plan, coordinate, and monitor section activities with respect to workplan tasks. Research and analyze information and provides periodic summaries and reports to monitor due dates and deadlines for section activities.
Plan and execute section activities and special projects and assures program objectives are accomplished. Develop and implement procedures to support section objectives. Assist staff with procedures, methodologies, and techniques.
Advise and/or provide highly complex consultative services and technical assistance to regional management and other TCEQ staff; the public, regulated community, media, and other interested parties.
Represent the section in meetings, workgroups, task forces, etc. KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience with highly complex air quality compliance evaluations or investigations
Experience developing workplans and monitoring progress
Experience training staff or developing training content
Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field, plus six years of full-time experience in environmental activities.One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.ORA masterand#8217;s degree from an accredited college or university in the degrees listed above, or related fields plus five years of the required experience.ORA doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, science, environmental science, or related fields plus four years of the required experience.ORTwo years of full-time experience as a Natural Resources Specialist IV at the TCEQ.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business Commerce Code Section 117.001(2).
