Job Summary:

Body Technician Helper assists the Body Technician in performing collision repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, with a focus on quality, timeliness and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in Dis-assembly of vehicle in order to identify damaged components
• Assists in Repairing/Replacing damaged body components as identified
• Grind, file, sand, weld, cut etc...
• Comply with all TCC’s safety standards, guidelines and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to washing cars, cleaning the shop, etc.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of auto body repair techniques
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with computer diagnostic equipment and software
• Ability to read service and repair manuals
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders
• Must be 18 years or older

Education and Experience:

• I-CAR certified preferred
• Three years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level
