Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC fiber laser cutting machines, ensuring precise cuts according to instructions and specifications
- Program and modify CNC laser equipment using Cypcut programming software, ensuring optimal cutting parameters for various materials
- Perform installs and calibration of laser machinery, including electric controls and other wiring systems
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and quality of finished machines
- Collaborate with team on tooling setup, materials handling, and assembly line integration to streamline production workflows
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to factory safety protocols, including forklift operation and proper handling of hazardous materials
Qualifications
- experience operating CNC fiber laser machines within a manufacturing or fabrication facility
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and software; familiarity with wiring and electrical is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt, learn fast, and work accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in machining processes such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, welding, and fabrication techniques
- Proficiency with basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for quality control
- Experience with tooling setup, materials handling, and the use of hand tools in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with quality control procedures using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers
- Warehouse experience or factory floor background preferred; certification in forklift operation is a plus
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work efficiently on an assembly line or fabrication station
