Texas Care is a behavioral healthcare agency serving clients throughout Texas. We provide mental and community behavioral healthcare services to children ages 3-17 as well as to adults with severe psychiatric disorders such as bipolar, major depression, and schizophrenia. As a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS), you would be responsible for working with clients individually to create positive person-centered coping, implement skill-building interventions and psychosocial education and provide case management services and parent support.
As a community-based QMHP, you would be able to meet with your clients via telehealth, at homes, schools, and within the community with the majority of services provided within the communithy. Qualifications
•QMHP-CS A staff member who is credentialed as a QMHP-CS who has demonstrated and documented competency in the work to be performed and has:
•A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of hours that is equivalent to a major (as determined by the LMHA or MCO in accordance with §412.316(d) of this title [relating to Competency and Credentialing]) in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention;
Responsibilities
•Provide comprehensive behavioral health and case management services to the client in accordance with the treatment plan that is designed to meet the mental health, educational, vocational, residential, financial, social and other needs of the client and their family.
-Provide Skills Training and Development based on individualized recovery plans in collaboration with clients and legal guardians.
-Collaborate with clients, legal guardians, and collective staff to update recovery plans regularly and when needed.
-Provide crisis intervention support when needed.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all services provided through progress notes and contact logs within 48 hours of the date of service for review.
•Follow Texas Department of State Health Services, Resilience and Recovery Guidelines and ensure that treatment plan authorizations and reauthorizations, CANS/ANSA and updated assessments DO NOT expire. Must be willing to become CANS/ANSA certified.
•Serve as an intricate member of the Texas Care team to ensure continuity of care and support the services 24 hours a day, seven days per week as necessary
•Provides structured face-to-face scheduled sessions to client based on the treatment plans.
•Provide services in the home, school, office and community setting
•Ensure that the majority of mental health services are primarily rendered in the community and ensure that limited services remain clinic-based
•Documentation completed within 24 hours of service or phone call
•Report to supervision and in-house trainings as scheduled
•Work collaboratively with and provide ongoing updates to the clinical team including the psychiatrist as needed
•Identify, establish, and continually collaborate with community agencies, providers, and natural supports and advise team to make referrals as needed
•Listen/respond to; interact with clients, co-workers, management, and other professionals in a non-judgmental manner with a team-based approach
•Communicate objectively, thoroughly, accurately, and concisely in a manner consistent with the cognitive level of the persons involved
•Demonstrate an understanding and acceptance of the organizational mission and shared purpose to assist individuals by providing quality services
•Participate in efforts to enhance service provision to consumers
•Act and interact to build cohesiveness
•Assist with building a positive image for the agency by demonstrating support and cooperation with other units and community agencies
•Demonstrate professional work ethics as evidenced by overall dependability, conscientiousness, and timeliness
Benefits
Salary: Part-time or Full-time $26 - $32 PER HOUR

Requirements:
- Must become QMHP-CS CERTIFIED in accordance with state and federal requirements.
- Must have at least a Bachelors in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
- Proof of valid Texas Driver's License (Type C), Current auto insurance, access to reliable transportation, and good driving record
- Two (2) employment references
- Cleared TB test results
- Behavioral health: 2 years (Preferred)
- Working cellular telephone at all times for on-call and after-hours availability
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Bilingual a plus!!
- CANS/ANSA Certification or be able to get certification
- Nurturing Parenting training and certification or be able to get training and certification
