Basic Function
The Pipeline Integrity Specialist will be responsible for working with the Manager of Mechanical Reliability and Pipeline Integrity to support the needs of all pipeline operations at all TBC-affiliated sites to maintain the overall health of the pipeline assets. Some travel will be required to the pipeline sites to support various field projects, including travel in and out of state (primarily Texas, Louisiana, and New York).
Specific Duties
Specifically, the Pipeline Integrity Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Manager of Mechanical Reliability and Pipeline Integrity with the following:
- Investigating and recommending new technologies to enhance pipeline safety and integrity
- Assist with the following pipeline integrity initiatives:
- Pipeline integrity management procedures and practices
- Cathodic protection data management platforms
- ArcGIS data management
- Corrosion-threat mitigation efforts
- In-Line Inspection (ILI)-data assessments and anomaly prioritization
- Aerial patrol survey improvements• Support AC mitigation project work
- Provide oversight for cathodic protection surveys and equipment installations
- Support ILI preparations and runs
- Support anomaly inspection and repair digs
- Support pipeline replacement and other pipeline-related projects in the field
- Support Landman activities and projects from a pipeline integrity perspective
- Occasional interface with various private entities such as, suppliers, industrial pipeline neighbors, landowners, etc.
- Supporting business development efforts for TBC and affiliates as needed.
- Managing documents and records related to the pipeline integrity program.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of six years of pipeline-related field experience, including activities related to a broad spectrum of pipeline integrity fundamentals
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, along with other specialized technical certifications related to pipeline integrity, is favorable, but not required
- Strong analytical/troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with ArcGIS and PODS databases.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks for multiple sites
- Excellent mathematical and computer skills (MS Office)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
