Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions efficiently.
- Manage cash handling accurately, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and refunds.
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Offer excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support retail sales efforts through effective communication, product knowledge sharing, and promoting ongoing promotions or specials.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts to ensure product availability.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively and professionally.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team collaboration.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately during busy periods.
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service orientation, and a proactive attitude toward upselling and merchandising tasks.
