Duties And Responsibilites

- Formulation of accounting, financial and budget policies;
- Financial planning;
- Budget development and management;
- Revenue and expense forecasting;
- Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable;
- Cash flow forecasting and management;
- Management of investments;
- Development and preparation of financial reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors and state and federal agencies;
- Financial management of federal and state grant programs;
- Management of DETCOG’s day-to-day accounting function and processes.
- Ensure financial policies, procedures and transactions meet the organization’s short- and long-term objectives and federal and state requirements;
- Develop long-range budgets and fiscal policies and make adjustments in programs and priorities;
- Review economic trend analysis and other financial market factors to keep the senior management team appraised of significant conditions;
- Oversee external and internal audit functions;
- Work closely with managers of all departments to assist in financial planning, management and reporting for each program and be responsible and accountable to Program Managers for account balances and program financial management.
- Manage all aspects of the Finance Department staff and office
Travel Requirements
- This position requires travel within the [City/Region/State].
- Occasional travel outside the primary service area may be required for training or conferences.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to company policy.
- Must have a VALID Texas driver’s license, proper vehicle insurance and use of vehicle to travel throughout the region
