Texas Ale Project, established in 2014, is craft brewery in the Design District of Dallas crafting fine American style ales. We pride ourselves on quality and thoughtfulness in our brews and in our operations. We are seeking an experienced Taproom Manager / Lead Bartender to help grow our Taproom and event sales while serving the freshest quality beer. An individual that is energetic, highly organized, sales oriented, accomplishes tasks with ease is someone that could be successful in this role. Prior food & drink management experience, a passion for serving great craft beers and providing fun social experiences for guests are imperative. This role is a mix of managerial work and bartending with hourly pay.
Taproom Manager / Lead Bartender Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Be an independent, energetic team leader to grow our taproom business while serving our guests as the Lead Bartender
- Leverage strong planning and organizational skills to coordinate the taproom supplies, events, staffing and logistics smoothly
- Communicate effectively and problem solve to meet deadlines and keep the team operating smoothly
- Create and execute on sales and marketing activities to achieve ambitious sales goals
- Hire, fire, schedule bar staff, address concerns, and effectively manage morale
- Meet weekly with leadership and marketing team members
- Build strong team and customer relationships
- Create and implement a Members Program
- Promote public events with flyers, social media planning, in person visits, etc.
- Handle all TAP Room operations including ensuring fresh beer & food is always served, managing inventory, pricing, preparation of successful shifts for bartenders, ordering supplies, handling money and deposits accurately, and proper cleanliness and sanitizing
- Innovate and implement event ideas that grow sales and brand awareness
- Provide social media images and content as required
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Schedule:
- Must be available to work Monday mornings and Wednesday - Sunday shifts
Education:
- 4-year college degree or associates degree
Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong creative planning and problem solving skills

- High attention to detail and communications
- Must be able to work independently but ask for help when needed
- Proper food & drink service knowledge required
- Lift & move up to 75 lbs. (Kegs)
Minimum Work Experience:
- 2 years of service industry & management experience required; similar or bar manager or GM experience recommended
