What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Content Creator Contractor position at Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association?
The Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association seeks a creative, dependable social media content creator to tell the CCA’s story through engaging video and digital content. This contractor will highlight the cadets, CCA programs, donors and traditions that advance our mission to Promote, Preserve and Perpetuate the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets.
The primary deliverable is one original video/post/story per day, Monday through Friday—five videos each week—prepared for publication on the CCA’s social media channels.
Requirements
- Plan, film and edit five engaging videos each week, including captions, music and graphics as appropriate.
- Adapt videos for the CCA’s Facebook, Instagram and X accounts, including appropriate formatting and accompanying post copy.
- Develop a content calendar in coordination with CCA staff and submit content for approval before publication.
- Capture interviews, cadet experiences, program highlights, donor impact stories and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Attend scheduled activities and events to gather content, including occasional evenings and weekends arranged in advance.
- Ensure content is accurate, professional and consistent with CCA branding and messaging.
- Provide a monthly report on engagement, audience growth and content performance, with suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form social media videos.
- Strong storytelling, writing, photography and video production skills.
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram and X.
- Access to the equipment and editing software needed to produce quality content.
- Familiarity with Texas A&M University and the Corps of Cadets is preferred.
Professional Expectations
Content must focus on advancing the CCA’s mission and strengthening its social media presence.
CCA accounts and content must remain distinct from the contractor’s personal accounts.
Personal promotion, collaboration posts or use of CCA content on personal channels requires prior written approval.
The contractor must protect confidential donor, member and cadet information and follow CCA requirements for permissions, music licensing and account security.
Contract Terms
Compensation, contract duration, event coverage and the approval process will be established in a written independent contractor agreement.
