Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our advanced medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in diagnostic radiology and interventional procedures within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Candidates should have a strong background in C-Arm imaging. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
Duties
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures including catheter placements, and vascular interventions using aseptic techniques.
- Ensure proper operation of imaging equipment while maintaining image quality for diagnostic evaluation.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to optimize imaging results and assist physicians in diagnosis.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and aseptic techniques during invasive procedures.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Document procedures accurately within electronic health records and communicate findings effectively to the healthcare team.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
- Clearly communicate with the RN the amount of contrast & medications used from the sterile field during procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in diagnostic radiology.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to radiologic procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to perform interventional procedures using aseptic technique under physician supervision.
- Experience working with diagnostic evaluation processes within high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or trauma centers is a plus.
