The Department of Global Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for one (1) full-time Visitor Lecturer (Non-Tenure track) position in German language with a 9-month academic appointment beginning in fall 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach four (4) courses per semester in German language, from the Beginning to the Advanced level, and to contribute to program building in German studies and academic service appropriate to the mission of the department and university. Depending on program needs, there may also be opportunity to teach additional courses.
The Department of Global Languages and Cultures offers degrees/programs in modern languages and Classics, and graduate degrees in Hispanic Studies, in addition to offering undergraduate minors in African Studies, Religious Studies, and Jewish Studies. Applicants must have a Master level degree in German, a PhD in German is preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years of teaching at the college level in the field or a related field.
