Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year in scientific research, clinical, operational, or experimental work.
- Ability to use routine lab equipment, spectrophotometer, pH meters, etc.
- Diagnostics: Performs routine diagnostics using radioimmunoassay (RIA), enzyme-linked reagents required for diagnostic testing immunosorbent assays (ELISA), and automated instrumentation to evaluate gastrointestinal function in veterinary patients. Prepares buffers and reagents required for diagnostic testing.
- Data Entry: Enters patient data from submission forms into the GI Lab database. Enters and verifies diagnostic results on spreadsheets for sample reporting.
- Supplies: Maintains records of supplies and reagents as needed for diagnostic testing.
- Customer Service: Assists GI Lab Admins in customer service. Answers phones calls and communicates with clients.
- Training: Assists in the training of student employees in the laboratory.
