Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Entries Computes and prepares journal entries or manual batches and analyzes posting accuracy. Classifies, codes, posts, and balances financial and accounting transactions on various accounts Maintains electronic financial record controls for retention compliance. Assists accounts payable with interdepartmental transfer entries. Financial Reports & Reconciliations Downloads daily and monthly bank reports. Reconciles various financial accounts and banking activities. Runs state reports for monthly GIP, state interest and license plate revenue posting. Monitors completeness of all financial reconciliations. Maintains worksheets for GIP and Payroll analysis. Completes various Annual Financial Reporting schedules assigned during the year-end process. Assists in solving accounting or financial problems and provides technical assistance. Assures compliance with all standards, policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements Education – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience – Accounting experience in a business office preferred. Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Oral and written communication skills. Customer service skills. Preferred Requirements Experience-Two years of related experience.
