What You’ll Do…
Role
As the Director of Marketing, you will lead the development and optimization of the Foundation’s marketing technology ecosystem to strengthen donor engagement and accelerate the fundraising pipeline. In this role, you will:
- Build and manage an integrated marketing technology stack connecting Salesforce, HubSpot, Cvent, and advancement systems.
- Develop scalable automation, lead-scoring models, and nurture strategies that identify and advance major-gift prospects.
- Implement multi-touch attribution and performance reporting that demonstrate marketing’s direct impact on fundraising outcomes.
- Lead content strategy and campaign execution to support donor acquisition, cultivation, and brand alignment.
- Partner across departments, guiding teams and stakeholders in adopting data-informed marketing practices.

- 8 years of marketing operations experience with strong proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, automation, analytics, and integrated martech systems.
- Experience optimizing marketing funnels, implementing attribution models, and presenting performance insights to leadership.
- Understanding of donor cultivation, major gift fundraising, and advancement processes, with 5 years in higher-ed or philanthropic environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and change-management abilities, with proven experience guiding teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable systems, manage complex projects, and make data-driven decisions.
- MBA or master’s degree in marketing, data analytics, or related field.
- Professional certifications in HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Experience with advancement-specific technologies (Blackbaud, Ascend, etc.).
- Higher education experience and understanding of university advancement structures.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and donor information compliance.
