What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse Trice position at Texarkana School District?
The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications for school nurse at an elementary school campus for the 2025-2026 school year. The school nurse will assist in development and implementation of a comprehensive program of health services for the school, be responsible for providing direct health services to student, promote health education and preventive health practices for students, and serve as health advocate for students.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
1. Pass a national criminal background check and a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry;
2. Be a graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program;
3. Possess a valid registerednurse license in Arkansas fromt he State Board of Nurse Examiners;
4. Possess two years of nursing experience, preferably in community health;
5. Possess a calm and patient demeanor with students and others.
This position is a 197-day contracted position, salary dependent upon license level and experience. The position will begin in August 2022.
