Job Overview
The IT Systems Administrator II will be responsible for duties such as providing remote and on-site support; assistance in hardware, software, and network related issues; responding to email and phone calls, and projects such as IT equipment refreshes. This is done through leading by example, ensuring employees are properly trained, holding themselves and others accountable, meeting established metrics and maximizing efficiency throughout the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the charge for ensuring all employees, customers, and visitors understand the importance of 100% safety compliance and maintaining an injury free workplace.
- Serves as the tier 3 escalation for IT related problems that includes monitoring of ticketing system, phone and desk side support
- System admin duties include rack and stacking serves/switches/SANS, Windows Update, managing file and server backups, and troubleshooting applications
- Design, Manage and Maintain Network and Server infrastructure
- Troubleshoot advanced networking and server issues
- Monitor production servers for load and performance bottlenecks
- After hours support is occasionally required
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT and/or have equivalent experience in the IT field desired
- MCSA/CCNA Certifications are a plus
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience of Windows Server platform
- Advanced networking experience with ability to diagnose and resolve network related issues
- Strong knowledge of hypervisor technologies (Hyper-v/VMware ESXi)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in systems administrator or network administrator role
- Ability to work with or without supervision
- Ability to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.), bending, standing, crawling, and walking
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Highly motivated and desire to continually learn new technologies
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
