  • Produce and distribute correspondence, letters, and forms
  • Maintain professional communication via phone and email
  • Learn product quality and defect understanding by customer
  • Assist with customer satisfaction and quality control
  • Contribute to team effort by performing Lab related tasks as needed
  • Maintain and update the visual displays, communicating with IT of monitor issues
  • Develop and update claims systems and processing to make them more efficient
  • Archive and maintain Quality Records maintained by Technical/Quality Department in compliance with QMS
  • Scan, file, and store all TKA production run cards
  • Create SOP’s and work instructions for run card processing and claim processing.
  • Comply with TKA Safety Policy and participate in Safety Programs
  • Learn and understand physical and chemical testing performed on products and coolant and how to interpret the results
  • Have a working knowledge of Aluminum Association Standards
  • Maintain communication with TCI and TKA IT about claim systems improvements and IT projects
  • Participate in TPM (2/quarter)
  • Maintain lab technician proficiencies
  • Maintain communication with TCI, TKA, ERI account managers, customer service, and field service engineers about customer concerns and claims
  • Provide clerical and technical support for the Quality Department
  • Know and understand the SQM System and how to read and interpret the PHC data from all machines for claims processing and to alert the quality team of any relevant findings.
  • Learn how to maintain the SQM and keep the system running properly.
  • Develop streaming video system for all rolling machines to work in conjunction with the SQM System to aid the team in identifying mill defects and improving accuracy of the PHC data.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of any process changes made in the mill as it may relate to quality.
  • Develop a return and inspect system for the mill that can aid the Quality Department in supporting the current business model.
  • Know and understand root cause analysis(RCA) and be able to assist/train others in RCA to aid the company in improving its processes and product quality.
  • Develop and update record keeping systems for claims processing and run card maintenance.
  • Sort, file, and store tape tests that are taken during coil processing
  • Submit IT and maintenance requests for the Quality Department.
  • Maintain communication and alert the Lab Technicians, Quality Technicians, Management, and Field Service Engineers about any defect trends that are observed.
  • Perform other related clerical duties, as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Proven administrative assistant experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Typing skills
  • Knowledge of GRP, MES, and TKA Website
  • Quarterly Cross Training Refresher in the Quality Laboratory.

Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
