Lead Residential Trainer- Day Shift for Behavior Treatment and Training Center (BTTC)
Responsibilities
The Behavior Treatment and Training Center (BTTC) Lead Residential Trainer (LRT) works directly with children and adolescents who have a diagnosis of an intellectual and developmental disability and problem behaviors, such as aggression, self-injurious behavior, and non-compliance. The LRT implements behavior analysis programs and special treatment sessions as directed. The LRT provides frequent positive interactions with consumers and conducts social skills, leisure, educational, recreational and home living skills training. The LRT is responsible for the daily care of the persons served, providing supervision, a safe and pleasant environment, and assistance with self-help and daily living activities. The LRT performs and assists persons served in performing household tasks. The LRT meets specialized needs and assists in transitioning persons served to discharge placements. LRTs record data in a timely and accurate fashion and are accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the compliance policy. In addition to the duties of the Residential Trainer, the LRT performs other specified functions especially related to the monitoring of staff implementation of Behavior Analysis Plans and other training activities with clients. The LRT may be designated to perform supervisory duties in the absence of a shift or relief supervisor as assigned. LRT Essential Staff are required to work during an Emergency Event to ensure the operations of Texana Center continue and to ensure the safety and welfare of the individuals receiving services from Texana Center. The LRT for 6am-2pm shift is recommended by the Shift Supervisor, and approved by the BTTC Senior Manager. The LRT is accountable to the Shift and Relief Supervisors of the BTTC.
Salary
- $15.20 per hour for 6-2pm shift
Required Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- BTTC job experience working as a previous residential trainer
Preferred Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- Current BTTC employee
Job Related Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform SAMA and CPR.
- Must be able to perform light (15lb), pushing, stooping, light carrying (15lb), repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking and sitting.
- Must have the ability to see, write, operate office equipment, and operate motor vehicle and have depth perception.
- Qualified individual must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
