Tex Tech Industries is hiring, we are looking for candidates who want to be a part of a growing and evolving leading global manufacturing facility is currently looking for 2 Weavers on our 1st shift at our Winthrop Location.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for running a multi-loom assignment to produce first-quality material. Setup, operate, or tend machines that knit, loop, weave or draw in textiles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Running a multi-loom assignment.
- Start machines, monitor operations and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain the full work assignment in processing first-quality material.
- Responsibility to repair the warp, filling breaks and other loom stops as needed.
- Required to doff the roll and cut when full.
- Record all necessary information on tickets, and production as required.
- Inspect cloth while weaving to ensure quality material is being produced.
- Replace empty cones with full ones when needed.
- Adhere to all safety rules and safe work practices at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
The positions require frequent standing and walking for up to 10 hours a day, frequent lifting, twisting, kneeling and bending. Frequent lifting of 10 to 75 lbs (with some assistance). Must have fine motor skills and manual dexterity along with good vision and be able to distinguish color variations.
