What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Mechanic position at Tex Tech Industries?
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for keeping warps running on a continuous basis through maintenance and overhauling of all looms. Responsible for repairing and maintaining all mechanical operations of sulzer machines; make necessary adjustments and settings to assure proper operation and maximum efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for repairing looms on warps and replacing them when they run out.
- Weave pattern changes, pick gear changes.
- Records all necessary information on tickets.
- Ensure the sulzer machines run properly to assure first-quality material.
- Keep all relative parts, chain rack pick gears, etc… in a need and orderly fashion.
- Must have a mechanical Aptitude.
- Adhere to all safety rules and safe work practices at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing and walking up to 8 hours per day.
- Frequent lifting, twisting and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
- Fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
