Responsibilities
- Safely operate various commercial vehicles, including box trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles with manual transmissions, to deliver products across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting shipments, completing necessary documentation, and obtaining signatures when required.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift to ensure optimal operation.
- Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies immediately to supervisors for prompt resolution.
Experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and driving larger box trucks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and/or operations, such as forklifts and pallet jacks; certification is a plus (not required).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly throughout the day while maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
