The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day human resources functions of a facility, ensuring a stable, compliant, and high-performing workforce aligned with production demands. Working closely with the Director of HR, this role is responsible for executing core HR activities including onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, compliance documentation, and workforce support in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Working closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and the Director of HR, the HR Generalist plays a key role in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting hiring and onboarding processes, and ensuring adherence to labor laws, safety requirements, and company policies. The position also helps reinforce workforce discipline and consistency by supporting attendance tracking, corrective actions, and employee engagement initiatives.
In the facility setting, the HR Generalist contributes to operational success by helping ensure the workforce is properly trained, documented, and aligned with production schedules and compliance requirements, including maintaining records and training documentation necessary for regulatory standards such as Title 25. This role is essential in supporting workforce continuity, reducing risk, and enabling efficient operations as production scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute hourly and salaried recruiting plans aligned to ramp schedules; manage onboarding and new-hire readiness.
- Maintain HR compliance (I-9, OSHA training records, policy administration, ACA/benefits tracking) and support audits.
- Develop training materials, SOP-based learning, skills matrices, and cross-training plans to support line flexibility.
- Support employee relations, performance management, and culture-building in a high-safety, high-quality environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years HR/Training experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of employment law basics, safety training coordination, and confidential recordkeeping.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) required. Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing skills matrices and standardized work training in Lean environments.
Salary : $58,000 - $75,000
