Essential Duties:
This position reports to the Tax Director and is responsible for the compliance, research, and planning for TETRA Technologies, Inc. with respect to international income taxes.
- Preparation of international components of federal income tax return and supporting schedules.
- Responsible for quarterly international income tax provisions as well as international components of US income tax provision.
- Responsible for review and consolidation of the reconciliations of international income tax general ledger accounts.
- Review of international income tax returns.
- Overview and coordination of worldwide transfer pricing documentation.
- Responsible for the collection of documentation and preparing responses, using statutory, regulatory or judicial authority to support the company’s position on international components of the federal income tax return issues arising during a tax audit.
- Overview of documentation and responses during international income and non-income tax audits
- Responsible for staying up to date on changes in international tax laws as well as perform/manage all projects related to global tax minimization strategies
- Ability to use sound judgement and interpersonal skills to obtain and determine the source, timing, significance, and effective use of tax data
- Maintains good relationships with other team members to gather relevant tax information from other departments
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
- EXPERIENCE: 8 years of experience in Tax
- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s License
- TRAVEL: Some travel required.
- OTHER:
- Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
- Experience using JDE ERP systems
- OneSource experience
- In-depth knowledge of US international tax laws
- In-depth knowledge of multi-entity ASC 740 accounting
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with tax research software
