We are seeking several detail-oriented Intake Specialists to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting program operations and ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Status: Part-Time
Work schedule: Intake specialists working hours vary depending on the availability of the client. This may include nights and weekends if the client is not available during normal work hours.
Remote/hybrid: Work location is primarily the candidate’s home office.
Travel requirement: Role responsibilities will require occasional project site and client visits up to approximately 25%, which could include overnight travel.

- Point of Contact: Provide timely information and assistance to participating families and/or property owners throughout the application and abatement process.
- Income Determination: Review and verify applicant income documentation to determine program eligibility in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) Determination Letters: Process and manage SHPO determination requests and letters, ensuring compliance with preservation regulations for qualifying properties.
- Occupant Relocation Coordination: Coordinate the temporary relocation of program participants during abatement activities, including arranging accommodations and transportation as needed.
- Meal Voucher Management: Oversee the distribution and record keeping of meal vouchers for relocated occupants, ensuring participants’ needs are met throughout the abatement process.
- Pre- and Post-Lead Abatement Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all pre-abatement and post-abatement activities, including inspection reports, clearance documentation, and participant communications in accordance with state and local requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in social services, public health, business administration, or a minimum of one-year related field experience.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory and scientific information to lay-people.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn program-specific software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and teams.
- This position requires driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good standing is required.
