The Position
NDY is looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to help lead and grow our Perth presence. You’ll be joining a highly regarded, multidisciplinary building services team with the backing of experienced specialists across Australia. We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical fire protection expertise, confidence in client-facing environments, and the leadership presence to contribute to team development and business growth.
In this role, you will:
- Lead fire protection design, documentation, and contract administration across a range of projects.
- Review and contribute to high-quality design deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with clients and project teams to deliver practical, coordinated solutions.
- Support project delivery from concept through to completion, with a focus on quality, risk management, and commercial outcomes.
- Help shape and grow our Perth fire protection capability, including mentoring others and contributing to business development opportunities.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in fire protection services design within the Australian building industry.
- Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian standards.
- Experience using fire protection design software, such as Hyena.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office.
- Understanding of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and design workflow experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in client and stakeholder engagement.
- A collaborative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance technical and commercial priorities.
