Your Role:
- Design, model, detail and draft 3D models and 2D drawings for civil and structural projects
- Performing civil structural modelling using governing codes and industry standards and experience.
- Conducting option studies in relation to site layouts.
- Creating, organizing, and updating drawings for FEED and detail design.
- Working with lead designer and engineer to scope out projects and establish project objectives.
- Coordinating work with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, etc.
- Preparing quantity estimates for projects within the department.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in civil structural engineering/design diploma or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience. New grads welcome to apply!
- CTech, ASct, or ASET considered an asset.
- Proven civil structural design experience in EPC or consulting company.
- Good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practices.
- Proficiency with the following required: Civil3D & AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- Proficiency with the following an asset: ProSteel, SmartPlant, CADWorx or Microstation, Navisworks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 per year. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
