The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is adding a GIS Analyst II to support multidisciplinary environmental, energy, and infrastructure projects from our Boise, Idaho office.
This role will support spatial analysis, mapping, data management, and field data collection efforts across a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have strong GIS technical skills, experience supporting field teams, and the ability to produce high-quality cartographic and analytical work products in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Location: Boise, ID
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens due to project requirements.

Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams across the Boise office and other Tetra Tech locations
- Perform:
- Spatial analysis
- Data management and research
- GIS database management
- Develop high-quality:
- Stand-alone maps
- Map graphics
- Public outreach materials and page layouts
- Support:
- Opportunities and constraints analyses
- Environmental permitting analyses
- Critical issues and impact assessments
- Prepare data summaries and statistics for environmental and permitting projects
- Support biological and geological field survey crews by:
- Configuring mobile data collection devices
- Providing field data collection training
- Managing spatial databases
- Troubleshooting remote field collection systems
- Identify, collect, and create spatial datasets at appropriate scales for analysis and mapping products
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Geography
- GIS
- Environmental Science
- Related field
- 3–5 years of professional GIS experience performing spatial data analysis
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting:
- Tablets
- GNSS receivers
- GPS units
- Mobile field data collection applications
- Strong working knowledge of:
- ESRI ArcGIS Pro
- ArcGIS Online
- Field Maps
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to project requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with:
- Adobe Creative Suite
- CAD software
- Graphic design or mapping software
- Experience supporting:
- Environmental permitting projects
- Biological or geological field surveys
- Mobile GIS data collection workflows
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to support occasional field activities and travel as needed
- Ability to work with field equipment and mobile technologies in outdoor environments

- Office-based role with occasional field support responsibilities

Compensation:
Pay commensurate with experience.
Pay Range: $25.00-$35.00 hourly
