What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geospatial Developer position at Tetra Tech Careers?
Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Geospatial Developer to support our Customs and Border Protection client.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi-layered maps accomplished by using an appropriate combination of tools found in the GIS application suite and other programming environments
- Design and implement data conversion procedures and perform software and database quality control
- Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications
- Perform project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, and quality assurance and quality control
- Support SharePoint development and geospatial integration between Microsoft Power Apps and geospatial system and software
The successful candidate will have:
- 8 years of experience performing GIS and related development for law enforcement, immigration, and/or border security applications
- BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science or other related field w/GIS experience
- Must be able to pass Custom and Border Protection clearance
- Experience in GIS concepts, computer graphics fundamentals, and relational database fundamentals and concepts is essential
- Must have experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects
- Must be proficient in the coding of software and manipulating digital databases as well as using GIS programming languages, Internet markup languages, and other, pertinent technologies
- Must have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing
- (Optional) Desired to have experience with supporting software including SharePoint and Microsoft PowerApps
Salary: $114,000 to $118,000 annually. Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications.
