Responsibilities:
The Desktop Engineer will provide advanced Tier 4 troubleshooting for complex software and system issues, ensuring optimal performance and security across the enterprise. This role involves managing Microsoft Intune for device compliance and application deployment, supporting and maintaining Office 365 services, and configuring and troubleshooting Windows 11 environments. Key responsibilities include investigating BSOD and TPM-related issues, conducting vulnerability assessments, managing Active Directory and Group Policy Objects, and handling Local Admin Requests. The engineer will also create and maintain knowledge base documentation, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges, validate software patches and updates, and utilize tools like ServiceNow and RALLY for asset and workflow management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of experience in desktop engineering or advanced technical support roles.
Expertise in Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Microsoft Intune administration.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, GPO management, and TPM security.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues, including BSOD and hardware/software conflicts.
Experience with vulnerability assessments and remediation strategies.
Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of LAN\WAN network protocols and how they are supported
Desired Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications such as MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals), or equivalent.
Workstation Operating systems, Windows 10/11 at a minimum.
COTS and GOTS applications and how they may interact with the workstation operating system. (i.e. Adobe, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Active Directory and domain knowledge such as permissions, user accounts, machine accounts, etc.
Experience with PowerShell/VB scripting for automation and system management.
Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and modern endpoint management strategies.
Familiarity with cloud-based device management and hybrid environments.
Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation and KB articles.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Solid advanced technical troubleshooting skills as it relates to the workstation environment
Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to write User and support documentation
