About the role

Join our dynamic team as an Associate Tailings Engineer - collaborate with colleagues on tailings design studies and contribute your expertise to mine waste management.

You will be a key person in our tailings business, with a focus on providing technical and commercial leadership. You’ll be supported and surrounded by expertise within our Australian and international practice.

Tetra Tech Coffey has the solutions and the expertise to help mining companies meet stringent environmental regulations for tailings discharge and water management while also operating their projects efficiently.

About you

You will have a Bachelor of Civil or Geotechnical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years’ geotechnical experience. You will be accustomed to interacting with clients and overseeing complex tailings projects, while delivering creative solutions. 

The role will include:

• Leading teams and exploring innovation in tailings storage facility analysis and design.

• Developing high-level and detailed designs to meet regulatory and project requirements.

• Preparing design specifications, scope of works and schedules for construction.

• Preparing reports and documentation, including design reports, interpretive geotechnical and laboratory reports, construction progress reports, audit and management review reporting.
