What are the responsibilities and job description for the PACU Registered Nurse position at TETON VALLEY HEALTH CARE, INC?
PACU RN acts as a team member by aiding in the supervision and administration of quality care in the hospital. This position may manage the facility during hours that the administrator and House Supervisor are not present. This role is accountable for planning, organizing, directing and delivering patient care by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures among patient/family, medicine, nursing, ancillary and other team personnel. This position acts as a patient advocate, assessing patients for educational, physiological, psychosocial, comfort and safety needs. The PACU RN maintains current knowledge and personal education about standards of professional nursing practices, and attends staff meetings and other trainings required by TVHC. This position allows for flexibility in scheduling the needs of a 24/7 facility. All employees perform their work duties in a manner which promotes and supports the Standards of Conduct of Teton Valley Health Care; and demonstrate support of the organizations mission, values, and vision in all actions and interactions with employees, patients, medical staff, guests and visitors.
