What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher - K-8 JC & TVC position at Teton Science Schools?
Position Purpose: Our K-8 school is in need of substitute teachers for the 2025 - 26 school year. Substitute teachers will receive daily plans for any substitute teaching experience and work collaboratively with full-time teachers in the lower, middle, or upper school. Substitute teachers should be prepared (with boots, snow pants, rain jacket, etc.) to be outside in all types of weather. As a substitute teacher, your responsibilities could include implementing a substitute lesson plan, supervising children in class and during lunch/recess, and proctoring online learning. This is an on-call position and is compensated at an hourly rate.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Experience in a relevant field
• Ability to effectively communicate
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
• Bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, sitting, standing, standing with movement, walking, climbing stairs and ladders
• Stretches of time outdoors in all weather, including extreme temperatures and arid conditions
• Time spent hiking in front- and back-country settings
