- Reviews and prioritizes work orders; coordinates, assigns, and participates in maintenance and repairs tasks and projects.
- Provides direction and training to Department staff; oversees contracted workers and projects.
- Purchases and maintains inventory of supplies and tools.
- Assists with the preparation and set up of special events.
- May inspect areas such as playgrounds and public restrooms for safety, maintenance needs, and staff performance.
- Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Up to 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, or related field
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Must possess a valid Wyoming/Idaho Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Specific technical skills training and certifications may be required depending upon area of assignment.

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions; requires constant physical efforts and may be exposed to dangerous tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment.
- Department and County policies and procedures.
- Safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
- Principles and practices of effective project management, leadership, supervision and training.
Required Skills in:
- Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software, and some specialized software.
- Performing repair and maintenance tasks in various construction trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
- Using various hand tools and power tools.
- Compiling and maintaining records and reports.
