We’re looking for a hands-on Chief Research Officer (CRO) to lead cutting-edge AI-driven research and drug discovery initiatives for a leading pharmaceutical client (via Persistent).
📍 Location: Boston, MA (Day 1 Onsite)
⏳ Duration: 12 Months Contract
🔬 What You’ll Do
- Lead and define AI-driven research strategy for drug discovery
- Drive target discovery using multi-omics, biological networks, and knowledge graphs
- Build and deploy advanced AI/ML & agentic AI systems
- Apply AI to small molecule design, biologics, and protein engineering
- Collaborate with AI, Biology, Chemistry, and Engineering teams
- Translate research into production-ready AI solutions (pipelines, agents, dashboards)
- Publish and present scientific outcomes
✅ Must-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in AI / Machine Learning / Agentic AI
- Experience in Drug Discovery / Pharma / Biotech
- Hands-on with:
- Small Molecule Drug Design
- Biologics / Protein / Antibody Engineering
- Strong programming in Python
- Experience with PyTorch / TensorFlow / JAX
- Knowledge of Generative AI / Foundation Models
- Experience building & deploying AI systems / platforms
- Strong publication record (peer-reviewed journals / conferences)
