About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Georgia Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. You will work closely with the project manager and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be critical to your success in this role. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High standard of integrity and unwavering reliability
• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Proficiency in using deglazing tools and comprehending schematic diagrams
• Experience operating boom lifts and other heavy machinery

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Carpentry or a related field
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of structures and frameworks
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware, such as locks, hinges, and closers
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures

Skills:

As a Carpenter, you will use your skills in carpentry, blueprint reading, and building plan interpretation on a daily basis. You will also need to be proficient in using deglazing tools and comprehending schematic diagrams. Your ability to operate boom lifts and other heavy machinery will be essential to your success in this role. Additionally, you will need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Overall, your skills will be critical to ensuring that our projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
