Summary of Position/Purpose:  

The VP of Marketing will lead the development and execution of the organization’s marketing strategy, with responsibility for supplier marketing, brand marketing, digital marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), graphic design, and public relations. This leader will play a critical role in accelerating growth, improving marketing effectiveness, and enabling commercial transformation in a fast-paced, private equity-owned environment. As part of the Marketing Leadership Team, this individual will report to the CMO along with the leaders of Digital Experience and Digital Product Content. 

This is a highly digital, performance-oriented role with a mix of traditional marketing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be well versed in paid search, organic search, marketing automation, ABM, lead generation, funnel conversion, and sales enablement, while also bringing a broad understanding of branding, advertising, public relations, supplier/co-op marketing, and the use of AI to improve productivity, decision-making, content development, campaign performance, and operational efficiency. 

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities: 

  • Develops the marketing strategy with input from key stakeholders across the business 
  • Manages and oversees the marketing budget, making critical decisions on marketing mix and performance 
  • Leads the day-to-day operation of the marketing team including prioritization, recruitment and development of the team 
  • Establishes key performance indicators for the team and communicates results on a regular basis 
  • In coordination with the CDMO, defines the brand strategy, brand guidelines, value propositions, and personas to inform marketing activities 
  • Manages the marketing plan and develops campaigns to increase awareness of the brand and our value propositions 
  • Develop and manage marketing calendar (launches, trade shows, campaigns, & co-marketing) 
  • Proposes and manages marketing research to measure brand awareness, customer satisfaction and customer experience 
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies 
  • Leads digital marketing automation program 
  • Owns demand generation strategy, including ABM, lead generation, lead nurturing, pipeline acceleration, and campaign performance across priority customer segments and target accounts 
  • Partners closely with Sales, eCommerce, Product, Supplier Management, and Commercial leadership to align marketing programs with revenue, margin, customer acquisition, retention, and share-of-wallet objectives 
  • Identifies and deploys AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve marketing productivity, campaign execution, content creation, analytics, personalization, and operational efficiency 
  • Builds a disciplined marketing operating rhythm, including clear priorities, scorecards, testing plans, budget accountability, and regular performance readouts to senior leadership 
  • Drives change management and marketing transformation initiatives, balancing speed, quality, accountability, and cross-functional alignment in a private equity-backed growth environment 
  • Works with the Sales team to manage the lead nurturing process, measuring the effectiveness of lead generation all the way to a sale 
  • Improves lead management processes by strengthening lead scoring, routing, attribution, conversion reporting, and closed-loop feedback with Sales 
  • Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • 8 years of progressive marketing experience, including 5 years of people leadership experience 
  • Proven experience leading B2B marketing programs, preferably in industrial distribution, electronics, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related technical product environment 
  • B.S. in Marketing, Communications, or related degree 
  • MBA is preferred 
  • Strong experience with marketing automation, ABM, lead generation, funnel management, and campaign performance optimization 
  • 2 years of experience with brand management 
  • 2 years of experience with public relations, advertising and graphic design 
  • Strong understanding of both digital and traditional marketing channels 
  • Experience with paid search, organic search and email marketing 
  • Strongly preferred: deep B2B experience with a bias toward industrial distribution and complex, technical, or SKU-intensive product categories 
  • Proven experience with social media campaigns and online marketing 
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI, automation, analytics, and marketing technology to improve team efficiency, campaign effectiveness, personalization, and decision-making 
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, metrics-driven, private equity-owned, transformation, turnaround, or high-growth environment preferred 
  • Strong commercial orientation with the ability to translate marketing activity into measurable business outcomes, including revenue, margin, pipeline, customer retention, and customer acquisition 
  • Preferred work location: Dallas, TX, with ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams and travel as needed 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and allocate resources to appropriately 
  • Technology experience with marketing automation, CRM, CMS, analytics/reporting tools, AI-enabled productivity or content tools, WordPress, Office365, and related platforms; Marketo experience preferred

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
