What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Processing Specialist position at TESTEQUITY HISCO GROUP?
Summary of Position/Purpose:
The Order Processing Specialist is responsible for the entry and processing of customer’s purchase orders within the set policies and guidelines.
Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Sales order entry
- Work with the Accounting department to establish or revise terms per customer requests
- Ensure orders on credit hold are reviewed and released in a timely manner
- Work with the Shipping department to ensure that orders are processed in a timely manner and, in accordance with requested shipping method
- Ensure each order contains correct promotions and rebate codes
- Review backlog twice weekly to ensure all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Open service orders for new/used/rental units prior to shipping
- Perform warehouse transfers
- Indirectly responsible for product quality
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- A minimum of 2 years of sales related customer service tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent communication both verbally and in writing
- Attention to detail
- Microsoft Office skills and knowledge (data entry)
- Prior experience utilizing an ERP system is a must
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
