Tessy Automation, located in Meadville, PA, provides specialized custom precision industrial automation for assembly, inspection, testing, material handling and manufacturing process applications.
We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician to join our talented team!
The Electrical Technician organizes and performs activities necessary to build and wire electrical sub panels, assemble and build electrical enclosures, wire all machine components and sub systems, assist in electrical debug and start-up, and perform installation services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using the print package and the assembly file, organize and lay out the equipment and components of electrical sub panels and enclosures.
- Using good machine practices, and Tessy Automation Electrical Assembly Standards, mount and wire various components and systems used in sub-assemblies and final equipment.
- Identify and document machine errors and enhancements including missing pieces, non-functioning components, wrong components, drawing changes, etc.
- Assist the Controls department in troubleshooting and debugging the equipment. Working with others, groom the equipment to achieve the desired performance level.
- As required, interface with the customer and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Understand, execute, and work to improve applicable processes, including those related to the Quality Management System.
- Travel to the end-user’s facility when requested to provide installation, start-up, or troubleshooting services.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 or 4-year technical degree or 5 years of progressive related experience
- Ability to use power tools such as hand drills and saws
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial panel build/general industrial electricity and pneumatic schematics
- Proficient at Microsoft 365 / HMI, PLC, & robot programming experience
