Tessera is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain, and ensure the efficient performance of a wide range of Operations equipment, including pumps, compressors, generators, turbines, boilers, and related systems that provide essential services such as heat, air-conditioning, steam, and electricity.
Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

Tessera is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain, and ensure the efficient performance of a wide range of Operations equipment, including pumps, compressors, generators, turbines, boilers, and related systems that provide essential services such as heat, air-conditioning, steam, and electricity.
Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Responsible for installation, repairs and troubleshooting steam or high-temperature water systems malfunctions.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to guide repairs and maintenance.
- Responsible for directing and guiding installs and programing of thermostats.
- Communicates and interacts directly with the customer, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Responds to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customer.
- Ensures completed work meets quality control standards.
- Assists with orienting and training new employees and assists in work assignments.
- Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
- Minimum 3 years of Stationary Engineer experience.
- Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
- Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
