What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sommelier position at Tesse Restaurant?
A wine stewards responsibility is to enhance a guests dining experience. The ability to curate an inviting curiosity to the wine program and why it’s so special here at Tesse. Focused on anticipation, passion, and teamwork. Utilizing extensive wine knowledge to create a welcoming environment for all types of wine enthusiast. Working cohesively with the wine team to consistently maintain all cellars/store and update all wine lists. Ensuring guest satisfaction and efficiency with the ability to work as a team. While maintaining a positive attitude and having the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Wine Station upkeep/restock/inventory/maintenance
- Wine Cellar upkeep/restock/inventory/maintenance
- Wine Store upkeep/restock/inventory/maintenance
- Opening/Closing Side work
- Maintaining/Updating Wine Lists & Toast Buttons
- Wine Education
- Basic food/spirit knowledge
Working Conditions & Expectations:

- Work schedule may vary between late evenings, weekends and holidays
- Shifts range from 6-8 hours with possibility of overtime
- Fast-paced environment
- Working inside/outside dining areas

- Accept any and all feedback from management and ownership

Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Able to safely lift and maneuver items weighing up to 50 pounds
