What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Marketing Manager position at Tessakē?
Field Marketing Manager — Florida
Contract, 25 hrs/week
Tessakē is American sparkling junmai sake, brewed in California. We are building the next great American drink;
We're live in Florida. One taste is all it takes. Your job is to make that happen everywhere, every week.
The role
You own the Brand Ambassador program end to end across Florida.
You are not driving all of it. You build a local bench in each market and run the system from Central Florida, traveling on a set rotation. The program exists and runs on Pinatā, with account tracking in our sales software. You take it over, tighten it, and scale it.
What you own
- Source, screen, and retain the BA bench across six markets
- Onboard through Pinatā — agreements, field SOP, and compliance training
- Book the tasting calendar inside authorized doors and staff every shift
- Get product and POS to every event — cases through the wholesaler, kits stocked and shipped
- Brief and equip the field team so no BA arrives cold
- Cover shifts yourself when the bench fails
- Verify execution through photo-verified Pinatā reports and approve payroll
- Own recap data completeness — samples poured, bottles sold, shelf conditions, photos
- On-premise activation. Own execution at target on-premise accounts — staff trainings, menu feature follow-through, table tents and POS. (*You do not open new on-premise accounts)
- Manage the tastings budget — cost per tasting, BA rates, monthly spend against plan
- Send weekly recaps to distributor brand managers; escalate reorder signals to Tessa
- Report cases per door per month at tasted accounts versus untasted
How you're measured
Tastings executed on schedule. BA no-show rate. On-prem touches against target. And the one that counts — cases per door per month at accounts you've tasted, versus accounts you haven't.
You're a fit if you
- Have run field, experiential, or bev-alcohol operations at scale
- Have scheduled and staffed contractors, and know exactly what to do about a Saturday-morning no-show
- Can hold a professional recap conversation with a distributor brand manager
- Live in Central Florida, or will
- Move fast without dropping details, and run your work through tools — Pinatā, Google Sheets
- Know Florida sampling and responsible vendor rules, or will learn them cold before your first shift
- Are 21 , with a valid license, reliable vehicle, and availability nights and weekends
The terms
- Contract, 25 hours/week, scaling with volume
- Monthly base plus tiered bonus on tastings executed and velocity lift at tasted doors
- Mileage, travel, and phone stipend reimbursed
- Background check and clean driving record required
- No representation of competing alcohol brands during the engagement
- Start date: Now
To apply
Send your resume to hello@tessake.com with two answers.
Keep it short — how you answer is part of the test.
- The most tastings you've staffed in a single month, and your no-show rate. Then tell us the system that got it there.
- One account where your tasting changed the numbers. What it was doing before, what it did after, and how you knew.
