Maintenance Technician

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join on of our client's their team at (1) of their properties in Sun Prairie, WI (53590). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in residential maintenance – multi-family experience is required, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. HVAC experience is required but certifications are strongly preferred. This is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with 172 income restricted apartments, 3 stories and was built in 2023.

Salary: $24-$27/hour DOQ. This is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday – Friday standard business hours (8am – 5pm) with 40 hours/week.

Emergency Response Schedule: Every 2-3 weeks and shares on-call rotation with the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

As a Maintenance Technician, you help residents feel safe, comfortable, and happy with their homes. In a given day, your tasks may include:

• General maintenance of multifamily apartment buildings, including occupied apartment units.
• Repairs in electrical, plumbing and appliances.
• Participation in cleaning and painting during unit turns.
• Snow removal
• Regular, professional, and courteous communications with Property Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Residents.
• On-call rotation; responds to emergency calls after hours and on weekends
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 2 years' experience in residential maintenance - multi-family experience is REQUIRED.
• HVAC experience is required, certifications are highly preferred.
• Experience in unit turns.
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
• Be able to successfully pass a background check before employment - 7 year.
