Maintenance Technician - Wayzata/Prior Lake

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team at (2) of their properties in Wayzata, MN (55391) and Prior Lake, MN (55372). The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years' experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (2) communities and 100 affordable housing units and townhomes.

Pay: $26-$32/hour DOQ

Schedule: 8AM – 430PM – split schedule between 2 properties.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years' experience in residential maintenance.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
• Have own basic tools to bring onsite.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
