We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ESL instructor to teach advanced-level English grammar in a dynamic, fast-paced learning environment. This position involves working with diverse student populations, including F-1 international students and local residents aiming to improve their English proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach advanced-level ESL grammar courses in a 4-week intensive program format
- Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with established Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of a diverse classroom
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress
- Administer pre-prepared monthly exams
- Accurately report student attendance on a daily basis
- Accurately submit grades on a weekly basis
- Utilize classroom technology and assign/manage online homework
- Minimum of 2 years of ESL teaching experience (required)
- Bachelor”s degree in English, Education, or a related field (required)
- Certification in Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language (TESL/TEFL/CELTA or equivalent) (required)
- Experience teaching advanced-level grammar
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Comfortable using instructional technology and online learning platforms
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intensive program environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Flexible and able to adapt to program needs
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Familiarity with Azar Grammar or Pathways curriculum
